Before making a booking I asked who will be my driver. Nalin (the owner) specifically said he will be the driver. And the communication I received from Nalin right up till I met my driver implied he was going to be the driver. On the day at pickup I was shocked when it was someone else I’d never spoken to before who came to pick me up and was to be my driver. At no point during the time since I’d made the booking till pickup was it ever communicated to me that the driver had swapped. As such, I didn’t have the chance to communicate with my driver beforehand which I usually do before going on a multi day trip. My actual driver was good and I had no issues there but more transparency would’ve been much appreciated.
Before the start of my trip I’d asked Nalin twice how much a safari at Yala would cost and never got a response. On the day of the safari my driver quoted a price almost double the price listed on the national park website for a full day safari. I understand that the price would include park entrance fees, food and also my guide/driver but it was still very expensive. Again more transparency beforehand would’ve been great
