We will start our day with the visit of the herbal and spice garden, where you can get to know various spices and experience the exotic smells and flavours. After that we will visit the local food market that can be found in the heart of the town. It’s time to get to know some typical fruits and vegetables that are used in Sri Lankan cuisine and buy some ingredients for our meal. Time to cook! The cooking class will be led by a Kandian house wife that knows all the secrets to a good Sri Lankan dish. She will explain how to prepare the dishes and teach you how to cook rice and curry. We will prepare a typical meal with three curries of your choice, and there are many to choose from. Some of the favourite Sri Lankan curries are: dhal curry, potato curry, chicken curry, eggplant curry, fish curry and so many more … After the cooking is done you will have time to enjoy your meal!
